Merry Christmas !

Merry Merry Christmas!

Matthew 1:18-25

The Birth of Jesus Christ

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ[a] took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed[b] to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
23
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

and they shall call his name Immanuel”
(which means, God with us). 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Cheshire Cat in a teacup

Cheshire cat in a teacup, cute find in one of my favorite shops :)

Tea for Two
Psalms 1:1-3

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
    Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper

A Very Good Morning

Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Knitting fun

Casandra a dear friend of mine just had a baby boy and this is the baby booty set I have been working on.  I use to babysit Casandra when she was three and when I had my children Casandra babysat for me... now she has her own little ones.

One of my favorite verses is found in Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart form it.
That verse was the motto of the High School I attended and it was written on the wall in the gymnasium.

Tea Playground

Acts 20:35 " I have given you an example that by working hard like this we should help the weak. We should remember the words that the Lord Yeshua said, ‘Giving gifts is more satisfying than receiving them.’”

This was the children's water playground at the Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa in Orlando

It was fun to see the kids playing, they enjoyed the hat filling up to the top with water (pretend tea) then the hat would tip and all the "tea" would pour out. The kids loved it!

English Treasures

This past weekend I was visiting with my Nephew and Niece in Lake Wales and my Niece served tea in her sweet poppy tea cup that she brought back from England and she had the prettiest two tiered biscuit plate too.  True English Treasures

Psalm 86:5

Alice in Wonderland plus Tea

This is a painting I found on display in a gallery, thought it was unique..

This past weekend we found a tea cup to match the Alice in Wonderland Teapot I have.
The saucer is really different it is in the shape of a hat,  I need to get a better photo of the saucer.

I was reading the word and Psalm 37:5 says,
" Commit your ways to the Lord, trust in him, and he will act."
It is restful to know we can rest in the Lord, He truly cares and He will make a way.

Dulce De Leche Brazilian Cupcake with Red Rose Tea

This is a must try recipe if you love cupcakes! They are truly Divine and easy, easy, easy!
I was given this recipe by a friend I work with, she is from Brazil and this is her recipe.
Hint: 100g of butter is about 1 stick of butter here in the States and 250g of Dulce de Leche is just about the whole 14 oz can of Nestle Dulce de Leche, also I baked them at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
You have to let the cupcakes cool for a good 45 minutes and then they are ready to enjoy.

I found The Donald cup towel in Orlando, he is too cute.

Recipe:
Start melting 250g of Dulce de Leche and 100g of butter in the microwave for about 1 to 2 minutes
Combine 2 full eggs, and 2 egg yokes to the melted mixture. Mix well using a fork or small whisk until well combined.
Add 1/2 Cup of flour and 1/2 Cup of sugar and mix them with a fork or whisk just until smooth.
Pour the mixture into cupcake liners ( about 12) and take them to a pre-heated oven (380 degrees)
Eight minutes are enough for the cupcakes to bake.
Serve with whip cream and a maraschino cherry on top.

Psalm 143:10

Teach me how to do Your will,  for You are my God. Allow Your good Spirit to guide me on level ground, to guide me along Your path.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

New International Version (NIV)
12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God
