Sister Time

 I am looking forward to this weekend, I get to spend some time with my wonderful sister!

Verse for today I found in Romans 12:9-10
9-10 Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.

Fun Pier One Teapots

These teapots I found at Pier One , I just loved them!

AWESOME VERSE FOR TODAY

Hebrews 11:1

King James Version (KJV)
 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1-2

The Message (MSG)

Faith in What We Don’t See

 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.

Tea Cozy!

Found on Pinterest (Thank you Tiffany)...too adorable, this is going to be one of my knitting projects
 I started out today by talking with the Lord on the way to work...I knew I had some things I needed to complete in the office that I just did not know how to tackle... I asked Him for wisdom, to direct my steps and for favor in those in authority over me. Although my work day had rough patches, I knew the Lord was right there with me, helping me through the struggles. I was able to smile on my way home and Praise Him for His presents, help and guidance! :)  How blessed we are to  have a Father who loves and cares for us in all things.

These verses stuck out to me and I wanted to post them from the Message.

Ephesians 3:19

The Message (MSG)
14-19 My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

Tea Lights and a verse to make you smile

Psalm 33:21
For our heart is glad in him,
    because we trust in his holy name.

LOVE THIS VERSE!

This tea candle is one of my favorites, I can not bring myself to burn it, it is so pretty and has a lovely soft clean scent.  The little shop where it was purchased  said it can be brought back and they will re-pour the candle when it is all used up. The only problem is...the little shop is down in South Florida....some ways away. The candle did not come with a saucer, the saucer I put with the candle is one of my husbands Grandmother's.

This was a pinterest find (Thank you Tiffany!), I would really love this on my front porch! :)

Loom Knitting Slippers

For him and for her

 I enjoy loom knitting, slippers have become my latest creations :)
They are fun to knit and surprising fast once you get going. I am still learning and in the beginning  each one I did was different from the other but I am getting better and I have learned some good tips that would of been helpful to know when I first started. I am working on posting loom knitting instructions, so once I get that done I will post them.

Tonight at Bible Study we were talking about the Attributes of God,  I tell you when you start naming the Attributes of our God you can not help but fall deeper in Love with Him.
“O Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and earth by Your great power. Nothing is too hard for You!” (Jeremiah 32:17)
  • God has the power to create anything from nothing (Ps. 33:6-9)
  • God has power to deliver (Exod. 13:3)
  • God’s creative power is beyond our comprehension (Job 38:1-11)
  • God speaks and things happen (Ps. 29:3-9)
  • His resurrection power is immeasurably great (Eph. 1:19-20)
  • His creation reflects His power (Ps. 19:1-4)
  • His powerful word sustains everything (Heb. 1:3)
  • He has power over death (Rev. 1:18)
  • No one can challenge what God does (Dan. 4:35)
  • Reveals Himself as the almighty God (Gen. 17:1)

We Are A Blessed People to have such a Father as this!  :)

Lace Wedding Dress

My Niece had an idea to display our Wedding Dresses and enjoy them, so we did!
I love my wedding dress, it is made in lovely lace with ribbon rosettes.

Here is a photo of my Niece's Beautiful Wedding Dress, she was married on the beach in Texas and her dress flowed beautifully with the ocean breeze.

Tea Garden

  I love  this passage in The traditional King James Version and also in The Message Version. I wanted to post them both so you too may see it's Beauty

Psalm 33:4-6 King James Version

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

I took these photos  when we were visiting Kennedy Space Center, we were watching a movie they were presenting on the Universe and I took these photos from the movie screen.  The Majesty is just amazing... our God is beyond Amazing.

Psalm 33:4-6 The Message Version

For God’s Word is solid to the core;

    everything he makes is sound inside and out.
He loves it when everything fits,
    when his world is in plumb-line true.
Earth is drenched
    in God’s affectionate satisfaction.

The skies were made by God’s command;

    he breathed the word and the stars popped out.

Tiramisu and Tea

We had a lovely dinner out with our
dear neighbors and dessert was scrumptious :)

English Breakfast Tea goes nicely with an after dinner treat

These verses spoke to me today .... I wanted to share them with you too..

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Beautiful Sunday with Banana Bread and Tea

This cookbook was given to me by my mom and it is full of awesome recipes and if you have read the book series the cookbook goes along with the series. Really unique  and fun to read,

1 Peter 3-5
Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.

Just Pretty

I found these little gems in an antique shop and could not leave without them.
I am searching for a saucer to match the bottom one in the first photo below...it has turned out to be a real hunt...

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord!  :)
Praise God in his sanctuary;

    praise him in his mighty heaven!

Praise him for his mighty works;
    praise his unequaled greatness!

Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
    praise him with the lyre and harp!

Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
    praise him with strings and flutes!

Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
    praise him with loud clanging cymbals.

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Loom Knitting with Tea Accessories

Beauty for Today is found in James 3:13-17

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

I have been working on loom knitting, these are some things I have been working on for my Neice who is going to be having a baby this December

I have found it is very easy to get distracted and loose count as you are knitting ... so I use button's to help me count :) I start by keeping the number of bottoms I need in a saucer and as I finish a row I just drop a button in a teacup, when I run out of bottoms I know the row is finished.
This is great when you have a busy household
