Psalms 23

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
Psalm 23

My business address? Wherever He puts me, but He is my home.

Colossians 3:12-14

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

Dinner Time

Our Tuesday Dinner recipe for this evening and was WONDERFUL!! I posted the recipe with a few photos below. I have added a link to Jolie's dish. This was the tastiest eggplant !! It has a cute story behind the recipe.. this traditional Turkish recipe name means " The holy man fainted" referring to a holy man who passed out with pleasure when presented with this dish, perhaps because of the wonderful aromas.

Turkish Eggplant Recipe

2 eggplants 10 1/2 oz each
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 large onions chopped
2 large garlic cloves crushed
2 x 14oz can chopped tomatoes
3 Tbsp raisins
3 Tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
lemon rind finely grated
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cumin
pinch of cayenne pepper
salt and pepper
Step one: Cut each eggplant in half lengthwise. Using a knife scoop out the flesh leaving about 1/4 inch shell.
Step two: Chop the eggplant flesh and place in a colander, sprinkle with salt and allow to drain for 30 min. Rinse and pat dry
Step three: Heat olive oil in large skillet, add onions and fry, stirring until softened, add garlic and stirring for about 2 minutes.
Step four: Add tomatoes, eggplant, raisins, parsley, lemon juice, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne and then season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring until mixture has thickened.
Step five: Spoon the mixture into the eggplant shells, mounding it up slightly. Place the filled shells in an ovenproof dish.
Step six: Cover the dish with foil, roast in a preheated over at 350 for 45-50 minutes. Serve hot :) This was a Wonderful Meal so full of flavor, very light and extremely satisfying. My husband had two helpings!! :) It took some time to prepare but well worth it!!!

Tea Rest

Pier One is where I found the tea bag rest and my loose tea ball, the tea ball is the perfect size for a small pot of tea, just love it.
My kitchen Angel was a gift from an Angel of a friend and the rose teaspoon I purchased in a tearoom in Boca Raton.

This verse is another one of my favorites:
See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are! :)

Tea Box

Jolie's tea box is just adorable, I had to post a photo to share, she found this treasure in Winston NC at the World Market.

Anytime yummy light snack

When you find yourself in need of a light snack, try toasting a thin slice of Italian wheat bread, dab with a bit of sweet cream butter and serve with your favorite tea.. ohwww so yummy

A bit about Tea

Afternoon Tea is served at approximately four o'clock and can consist of whatever the hostess chooses sandwiches, scones, cookies, a special dessert such as a fruit tart or a rich cake. It can be formally served in the dining room or at the living room tea table. Informal teas can be enjoyed in the kitchen, garden, as a picnic, or any location of choice.

Light Tea is a lighter version of Afternoon Tea with a scone and a sweet.

Cream Tea is one where heavy whipped or clotted cream is served to spread on the warm scones along with strawberry jam. It doesn't refer to the milk you put in your tea.

High Tea is most often served as a Full Tea, only more of the same. It is enjoyed at approximately six o'clock and is a light supper for the family or a before-theater meal. An entree such as chicken a la king

Farmer's Tea is a combination of a Ploughman's Lunch (heavy grained bread, sharp cheese, fruit, and sausages or a meat pie), popular in British pubs, served with a sweet.

Full Tea is a complete four-course Afternoon Tea with sandwiches, scones, sweets, and a dessert finale.

Royal Tea adds a glass of champagne or sherry to the Full Tea.

I cannot sit and chat with you,
the way I'd like to do.
So brew yourself a cup of tea,
I'll think of you, you think of me.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

:) Love, Love, Love this verse

Dessert Tip

Try serving your special dessert ice-cream to cobbler in a teacup, this will delight your guests.
