Hazelnut Candle in a Teapot

Fall is here!! I love this time of year!
Our Pilgrims I purchased years back at a Home Interior Party, I miss Home Interior decorating parties. The Holly Hobby Turkey was a gift my sister gave me

Living in Florida our trees do not change colors like they do up north in the fall so to enjoy the fall colors we put cling on leaves on our windows =)
A few years back while we were visiting with my sister-in-law in Pensacola I collected pine cones from her yard, she was happy to have the pine cones picked up and I was happy to be able to bring them home with me =)   I painted some of the pine cones with white paint and made some bird feeders with some others but the bird feeders became squirrel feeders ... our squirrel's are little stinkers.. we have one we call Gus Gus ... he is a big boy
This is a photo of Gus Gus, he brings his food on our patio to eat it.

Verse for today is found in Numbers =)

Numbers 6:24-26

‘May the Lord bless you
and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’

Tea for Two with Doris Day

Today was a fun day, we got up early, went out visiting family then did some shopping and then back home again to finish up some chores.  I was doing laundry and watching Tea for Two with Doris Day!  I love Doris Day and I have watched most of her movies two to three times but this is the first time I think I have seen Tea for Two from start to finish. There really was only one scene where they were actually serving tea... I was able to capture it :) .This is a sweet movie !

The silver tea set they used was pretty, it had a black handle.

Tea is an important part of our day, it brings people together.. I can just imagine the conversations that took place in each photo.

With all the change in our world I love reading Hebrews ...

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Red and Gold Tea pot and words to live by

 Luke 6:31-36
New International Version (NIV)
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Found this sweet creamer and sugar bowl set in a tea shop in Epcot

Pink Flamingo

Creamer

I thought this was perfect for Florida Tea =) I have a friend in Canada who adores Pink Flamingos and when I saw this I thought of her right away

Today's verse was found in Hebrews

Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works

I like how this verse reads in the Message

Hebrews 10:24

The Message (MSG)
Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on..

Go and do likewise

This parable is one of my favorits from the word... to love as Christ to all and in all things.

Luke 10:25-37

New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?”       he replied.  “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Isaiah 40:8

New International Version (NIV)

but the word of our God endures forever.
